With this disorder, people have no control food. Bingeing is followed by guilt. During this period of guilt, the individual strictly limits the food intake. Intense fear of weight gain is always there and the weight loss is always on the mind. The people with Bulimia cannot focus on anything else.
BINGE EATING DISORDER: The individuals have no self control and gorge on very large quantities of food in short time. Binge eaters eat very fast.

At UD, the first priority is given to the counselling sessions. The patients are encouraged to speak up. A detailed history of the patient is taken into account to find the causes of the erratic eating behaviour. The treatment depends upon the intensity of the disorder. Memory exercises and therapies are also used so that the individual is able to build healthy relationship with food.Initially, the individual is asked to follow the diet of their choice. It is done to check the progress after counselling and therapy and also to examine their eating patterns. After regular counselling sessions and therapy the diets are prescribed to them keeping in view their current condition regarding eating behaviour, food choices, taste and nutritional deficiencies.
